New Beginnings

Where to begin....

Avery arrived into our lives April 4th at 7:14 p.m.  I ended up having a c-section because she flipped sometime during the day (my little wiggler).  Josh and I brought her home on a Friday.  We were oh so ready to be home with our new bundle of joy. Only to find ourselves sleep deprived and completely overwhelmed (ok maybe just me).  We introduced my babies (Sissy and Lola) to Avery the following week.  I was a nervous wreck, but they have become friends.  Shew!

After several sleepless nights we finally discovered that Avery loves to sleep in the swing.  I sat at the base one morning as Josh held me and cried.  Avery slept in the swing most of the time her first couple months.  I know it is not recommended by most parenting books, but it worked for us (and mommy needed to sleep).

Over the next 3 months Avery began to smile, coo and blow raspberries.

Welcome to our Blog!

I decided to create this blog after my failed attempt at keeping up with Avery's baby book.  While reading some friends blogs I thought to myself I can do this.  So this is going to be my New Year's resolution now and for many years to come.

Our little Avery Ann was born April 4, 2011 and was a healthy 7lbs. 14oz.  I was instantly in love and she is well, ABSOLUTELY beautiful.

Life as we knew it will never be the same, but this new adventure that we are embarking on is exciting, scary, but most importantly remarkable.  Avery has brought great joy to our lives and I hope you continue to follow our adventures with our sweet little Avery Ann through 2012.

Between now and the end of the year I will try and post some pictures and highlights from 2011....
