What a busy week! A week ago today Avery slept 10 hrs. and has continued this pattern all week! I am enjoying the uninterrupted sleep! Avery has also discovered how to get into a sitting position while in her crib. So I guess it's time to lower the crib.....
Monday, Avery and I were in the kitchen and as I was washing the dishes she was rolling/scooting her way around. Well she found her new favorite thing.....DOG FOOD! Needless to say she was able to get one piece down before the rest was confiscated. I am pretty sure this will be a battle for many months to come.
We also have quite the little chatty Kathy. She is babbling more and more everyday and her favorite word of course is dada. Although associating it with Josh is going to take some work. :)
Friday, I woke up with my eyes matted shut - PINK EYE (yuck)! Luckily, our friend Dr. Amanda Furr came to the rescue and had me drops called in by noon that day. My main concern was Avery I would have felt awful if she would have gotten it. So far so good and I am much better today.
Saturday, While in the kitchen amking treats for Kyle and Kelsey's "surprise" engagement party. Avery decided she was going to crawl/scoot her way to the dog food bowl. It was adorable! Although her dada says she looks like a wounded duck...haha! Baby gates must go up this week!
That evening we (Walls & Kasting's) hosted a "surprise" engagement party for Kyle & Kelsey at Mallow Run. Surprise is in quotation's because I ruined the "surprise" a couple weeks ago. Kim (Kelsey's mom) had just emailed and I was responding and I thought well I'll add Katie (Kelsey's sister) to the email well not only are these girls twins their emails are very similiar
lastnamefirstname@gmail, so I bet you can guess where this is going. Kelsey got the email and not Katie......I was extremely bummed!!!! Regardless, it was a great night and everyone had fun! It was the first night Josh and I had been out by ourselves for a long time. Although, I enjoyed the evening it was hard coming home without our little one. Avery spent the night with my one of my bestie's Laura. Keeley and Avery had tons of fun! Keeley adores Avery and Laura said the first thing she said when she woke up is Avery - How cute!
As I said last Sunday, today was yet again another Sunday Funday. Breakfast with college friends that made the trip for the party, target with Avery, naps and playtime. Another great week here at the Minton house!
Crawling/Scooting - Enjoy!
